My name is Michael John G. Lopez but people call me Mike for short. If you’re reading this section then you probably want to know more about me and that’s what this page is all about.

I am a Filipino and I came to this world way back in 1977 (March 18 to be exact) as the first child of Roque Aldanese-Lopez Jr. and Olive Amechazurra Gonzalez. My first memories when I was a child was wetting my shorts in school. I think I was 5 years old back then.

My profession I guess would be programming. I’ve been doing website development for the past 14 years and I’m really good at it. My path to becoming a good programmer led me to becoming the Lead Developer and co-owner of WishList Products, makers of WishList Member, the popular membership site plugin for WordPress.

I would say that if I am a programmer by trade, I am also an entrepreneur by heart. Entrepreneurship I think is the fastest way to achieving success in life and that’s what I want – success. In order to achieve success, I never back out from trying new ideas. I also love working with people who I think are smarter than me, that way I can learn and better myself.

It is not uncommon for people to ask me about my education and my reply usually is a surprise. Thing is, I never went to college and I did not finish high school. I learned everything “by ear” so to speak. I read books and try them out on computers and see what breaks and what works. I do however advocate education in its most general form which is learning from everything we can learn from – whether it be in the school or not.

My ultimate goal in life is to help the underprivileged to get a chance of living a good life in this fast-paced world. I think that in order to do this I need to become a successful entrepreneur and funnel as much finances into that goal. I believe that we are all made equal but the choices we make in life take us to different paths. It is therefore my mission to show people the different paths they can take in life and help them make the decision.

Lastly, I am a strong believer that action speaks louder than words.
